Since 1983 the Cape May Carriage company have been giving visitors and locals a true Victorian Experience with a guided horse drawn carriage ride through the streets of Victorian Cape May. This year the Carriage Company introduced the Cinderella carriage that not only offers the same tour but gives the rider the opportunity to feel like royalty. At night the Cinderella carriage lights up the streets with its changing led light display and with its spectacle decorations, it will soon become the most talked about carriage in Cape May.
Tours:
All Tours are a 30 minute private guided tour and takes passengers on a true Victorian experience with the horse drawn carriage. Drivers educate passengers with a number of fun facts about Cape May and also discuss what life was like in Victorian Cape May. They will also tell passengers about the architecture of some of Cape May’s most famous landmarks. This time of year you will be dazzled at night with the beautiful Cape May Christmas decorations. Tours take place during the day and evening. Day’s and times will vary during the off season and reservations are always recommended. You can go to their website at http://www.capemaycarriage.com/index.htm and make online reservations or you can go to the Carriage stop which is located on the corners of Washington and Ocean and make same day reservations. Online reservations stop at Midnight the night before the day of the ride, otherwise you can make same day reservations at the Carriage Stop.
Rates:
For a traditional Carriage: 50 for the first 2 people and $10.00 each additional adult. Children 10 and under are free
Cinderella: Up to 6 adults: $90.00 Flat rate
Wagonette: Which can hold up to 8 to 10 adults is also a Flat rate of $90.00
CASH ONLY at the Carriage Stop.
Tips are customary and appreciated by the drivers
