The Budding Artist is a new business that has just opened up in the Villas. Ultimately they are a paint your own studio, but after speaking with Megan who is one of the artist who works for the Budding Artist they are not just your ordinary paint your own type of studio. She states that they are trying to change it up a little bit and offer a number of different type of crafts and even though she loves painting on canvas she expressed to me that she enjoys thinking outside of the box with her art and that is why the Budding Artist is different than other establishments. They have a great Moto which I sort of stole for my Title of the post but they say “No Experience necessary! Its Fun Art, Not Fine Art, and let me tell you this was very exciting for me because I am the worst artist in the world, I can barely draw a stick person. Yet, that is the idea behind The Budding Artist they don’t want Picasso, they want you! They have a great group of talented and trained artist who will walk you through the entire process, so it is okay if you can’t draw or paint they want you to be creative and make it your own.
After visiting the studio this past weekend with my children I found the place to be super quaint with a rustic feel to it. I had the opportunity to look around the studio while my children painted Christmas Ornaments and I saw some of the sample work that they have offered since their opening in October and not only did I see great canvas work, I feel in love with this snowman that was painted on a fence post and I really wish it was for sale because I would have bought it, but in all fairness the idea is to make the art not buy it so I guess I will have to go back in January and make one for myself. So hopefully my husband Mark reads this post and goes over to The Budding Artist and buys me a gift certificate so I can have a fun ladies night out and I will be able to make my own super cute Snowman Fence Post.
My children loved the paint your ornaments and I even brought my toddler who was able to paint with her sister and cousin. Megan was so patient with her and somehow manged to get her hand print on the ornament which a miracle in itself. I really appreciate that I will have her little hand on the cutest ornament and Megan turned her little hand print into a snowman family.

I also had the opportunity to speak with Julie who is the owner of The Budding Artist and she really wanted to bring a new business opportunity into the Villas. She understands that the families and children in the Villas section of the Lower Township have very limited places to do family activities so she thought it would be a win win for everyone involved. She is a big supporter of community and wants the Budding Artist to be a big part of the community. She clearly has big plans for the Budding Artist and I am very excited to see what the future holds for them. Thank you so much to Julie and Megan for hosting us last Saturday. We had a great time and can’t wait till we can come back.

* Private Parties can be booked any day or time, (including off-site locations). Call (609) 305-7862 or email info@thebuddingartiststudio.com to check date availability.
* Adult Parties. You may choose one of our many paintings or we can customize a painting or craft for your special event (some restrictions may apply). $250 for up to 10, each additional person is $20. Most adult parties run between 2 and 2 1/2 hours (This includes all materials and instruction.) We are a BYOB! Contact us about longer needs and rates!
* Kids Parties, 10 & up. You may choose one of our paintings or we can customize a painting or craft for your special event (some restrictions may apply). $175 for up to 10, each additional person is $15 (This includes all materials and instruction.) This is typically a 2 hour party. (30 min of festivities)
* Kids Parties, 9 & under. You may choose one of our paintings or we can customize a painting or craft for your special event (some restrictions may apply). $150 for up to 10, each additional person is $12. This includes all materials and instruction. This is typically a 90 minute party. (30 min of festivities)
*Popcorn Machine & Balloons. Popcorn Machine is available for Rent. We also have balloons on site, contact us about add-on rates.
*Off-Site Locations-there is a $50 travel fee within designated range from studio, which includes materials, set-up and clean-up.
* Food and Beverage of your choice may be brought in. We recommend Domino’s (609) 886-5800, as they are two doors down and your food will arrive hot and on time. We will provide basic plates, napkins, utensils, cups for cake. Wine glasses are available for BYOB. (There is no alcohol served at any time during any minor events). Please make sure all parties consuming adult beverages bring a valid photo ID, and distilled liquor is prohibited.
* 50% down is required to save your date, and the remaining balance is due 7 days prior to your event.

FAQ
What is a class like?
At The Budding Artist Studio our motto is FUN, in a relaxed atmosphere. You will be guided through the evening’s featured painting step-by-step process, by one of our fabulous instructors. At the end of the session you will go home with your very own painted canvas or craft, unique to you.
What should I wear?
Although acrylic paint is non-toxic and water based, it can stain clothing. We will provide aprons, but please dress with that in mind! (Short sleeves or roll them up is highly recommended.) The Budding Artist Studio or artist are not responsible for any damage.
What if I’m not artistic?
Don’t worry if you aren’t artistic, no experience is needed. Our instructors can guide all talent, step-by-step, through the entire painting process. It’s easy, fun, and totally stress-free. You will be amazed at the artwork you have to take home with you at the end of the night!
How do I sign up for a class?
You can sign up by clicking on our calendar page, find an event that works for you, and following the registration prompts to pay online. You can also register by calling the studio. Because we have limited seats it is recommended that you register ahead of time.
Is this for everyone?
Absolutely! View the description of our classes on our calendar for the best age recommendations. Watch our calendar for scheduled Family Day sessions and kid friendly paintings. Email or call us for questions or requests regarding the age recommendation. We do recommend not having children attend the evening classes, as adult beverage may be present.
What is our cancellation policy?
We have a 48-hour cancellation policy, a credit will be given to use towards future events. We offer a credit towards a future class, based on availability. Cancellations should be made by telephone (609) 305-7862 or email info@thebuddingartiststudio.com. We cannot offer reschedules or class credit for NO SHOWS. Thank you in advance for your respect of our reservation policy. Please Note! The Budding Artist Studio reserves the right to cancel a painting session at any time due to class size, weather, sickness, etc. If we feel we need to cancel a painting session, every attempt will be made to notify those that have signed up for session. If you paid online, you will be given the option of rescheduling your session or a refund will be made.
Alcohol?
We are a BYOB! We allow beer, cider and wine. You mush be 21 with a valid ID to consume.
May I bring a non-painting guest to class to watch me while I paint?
No, sorry. This is a “hands-on” activity. One person per canvas.
Do you offer Gift Certificates?
YES! Gift certificates will be available and make great gifts for any occasion. We can email you a gift certificate for you to print out or come in the studio for a certificate!
Other important information:
During the session, we reserve the right to take photos. These may be used on our social media sites. If you do not want your picture taken for these purposes, please let us know, we want to respect your privacy.
