Our zoo is a major attraction to the thousands of visitors to the shore and residents alike. Families who visit our zoo are always impressed by the lush country gardens, leisurely atmosphere and extensive natural environment. Animal lovers are impressed by our collection of over 550 critters, representing over 250 species. The 42,000 square foot park is a fenced-in, off leash, access controlled facility with three separate areas: large dog area (dogs over 30 lbs),small dog area (dogs under 30 lbs), dog runs area (all dogs). Users are requested to abide by the size limits for the small and large dog areas. Use of the large dog area by small dogs, (under 30 lbs) could be in danger of getting injured.

Corson’s Inlet State Park was established by the New Jersey Legislature in the early 1960s to protect and preserve one of the last undeveloped tracts of land along the state’s oceanfront. The park borders Corson Inlet. The area’s natural habitats are teeming with wildlife established in the numerous primary and secondary sand dune systems, shoreline overwash, marine estuaries and upland areas. The park offers scenic beauty and opportunities for observing a multitude of migratory and residential wildlife species. The park itself is located in Cape May County. The park is operated and maintained by the New Jersey Division of Parks and Forestry.BeachesBeaches are open during the summer months.Strathmere Natural AreaThis 98-acre natural preserve is undeveloped and undisturbed sand dunes that serves as a protected nesting site for the endangered Piping Plover, the Least Tern and Black skimmers. Other shorebirds and waterfowl, such as the American Oystercatcher, various species of sandpipers, gulls, herons, sanderlings and ducks also stop during the year. Pets are not permitted in the area during the nesting season.

Sunset Lake is located on the bayside of Wildwood Crest and it is named for its beautiful sunsets. It is said that Sunset Lake’s sunsets are stunning enough to compete with the Florida Keys. You will need to judge them for yourself! Sunset Lake is also a center of activity where vacationers can choose from a variety of water sports. Take you pick between boating, fishing, crabbing, kayaking, and many other water related activities. Visit Lakeview Docks for access to many of the popular water activities. In addition to the water sports, Sunset Lake is host to many annual events. The Gazebo at Sunset Lake is the location of the free weekly Summer Concert Series. Just bring a blanket or a comfortable chair, sit back and enjoy a variety of music. Throughout the summer, Sunset Lake is host to craft fairs and other events including the Christmas in July Boat Parade, the Yacht Club Regatta, the Hydrofest Powerboat Races, and the Seafarers Celebration. You can also discover the Turtle Gut Park Memorial at Sunset Lake on the site of the American Revolution battle.
