Steve Gonsalves and Dave Tango from Syfy’s hit shows “Ghost Hunters” and “Ghost Hunters Academy” will make an interactive live presentation at the Ocean City Free Public Library 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 17. The stars will take about their experiences on and off camera, sharing some of their favorite paranormal investigations, evidence and stories from their travels. It also will include a meet-and-greet and a question-and-answer session. Adults and children alike are welcome to celebrate the best parts of autumn with us as we take a hayride through a local pumpkin patch. We will meet at the Lower Library for a short presentation on pumpkins and other fall squash, then we will drive the short distance to Les Rae’s Farm at the beanery for a hayride. Afterward, patrons will be able to choose a pumpkin in the field to take home. All children must be accompanied by an adult, and all patrons must register beforehand. Joseph Alvarez has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology/Environmental Science, a founding member of the Cape May County Beach Plum Association, and is active in many county and agricultural programs in South Jersey. The Fall Foliage Express is returning to Tuckahoe and Richland on Saturdays Oct. 14th & Oct. 21st. Depart from Tuckahoe at 11:00 AM, or 2:00 PM, or Richland at 12:30 PM. The Parade route begins at Perry Street and Carpenter Lane, proceeds down Carpenter Lane to Ocean Street, travels down Washington Street and ends at the Emlen Physick Estate located at 1048 Washington Street.

Cape May’s annual Halloween Parade is scheduled for October 22 ,2017. Prior to the parade, trick or treating on the Washington Street Mall will be held from Noon to 2 p.m., which is sponsored by the Washington Street Mall Business Improvement District.
The Parade route begins at Perry Street and Carpenter Lane, proceeds down Carpenter Lane to Ocean Street, travels down Washington Street and ends at the Emlen Physick Estate located at 1048 Washington Street.
Parade registration is free and begins at 1:30 p.m. on the corner of Perry Street and the Washington Street Mall. Divisions are as follows: 3 and under, 4-6, 7-9, 10-12, 13-17, 18 and older, Groups and Floats. Prizes will be awarded to all divisions at the conclusion of the parade at the Emlen Physick Estate.
The Grand Marshals for the parade are Cape May City Mayor Clarence F. Lear III, and Council members Shaine P. Meier, Patricia Gray Hendricks, Roger M. Furlin and Beatrice Gauvry-Pessagno.
Pre-registration is available at Cape May Convention Hall, 714 Beach Avenue.
The Parade is sponsored by the City of Cape May, the Chamber of Commerce of Greater Cape May and the Mid Atlantic Center for the Arts and Humanities (Cape May MAC).

The Wildwood Crest Recreation Department will host the annual Halloween Trunk-or-Treat family event at 6 p.m. The event consists of parents/adults bringing their Halloween-decorated vehicles to the Wildwood Crest Pier parking lot at Heather Road and Ocean Avenue, where they will distribute candy from the trunks of their vehicles to children outfitted for Halloween. The event includes other Halloween related activities, a DJ, refreshments and prizes awarded to the best decorated vehicles. Trunk-or-Treat is a free event, but vehicles must be pre-registered.
